Every once in a while you encounter something marvelous in nature. These photos were taken on a Norwegian plateau in September. It had been a cold night, with temperatures just below zero, and the day started with fog. Between the dwarf birch on the tundra, I noticed these small water droplets, in neat patterns. They seemed to have condensed on some kind of hairs, possibly fungi. Could it be a defrosting effect?
