One of my favorite subjects in photography is abandoned places, where traces of civilization are slowly taken back by nature. Think about, for example, large buildings that lost their purpose, country-side rusty car wrecks or, like in this post, beached shipwrecks.
The rocky northern cape of the Lyngen peninsula is notorious for its strong tidal currents. Many ships have ended their journey here prematurely, and two of the wrecks can easily be spotted at the cliffs of Lyngstuva. The easy hike along the coast will take about 1 hour from Nord-lenangen.
